iGaming infrastructure has an unusual load profile. Traffic is flat for hours and then multiplies within a minute when a major fixture kicks off, and a platform that falls over during a Champions League match loses money it cannot recover afterwards. That shapes how these teams work.

DevOps and SRE engineers own CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring and incident response, usually with a real on-call rotation attached. Cloud engineers and architects design for elasticity and for the data residency requirements that come with operating under multiple licences. IT operations and support roles keep internal systems and staff working, which in a company of a few hundred people spread across offices is its own discipline.

Roles are listed in Malta and across Europe, and infrastructure work is among the more remote-friendly functions in the industry.

Salary ranges: EUR 32,000 to 42,000 at junior level, 42,000 to 58,000 at mid-level, and 58,000 to 75,000 for senior DevOps engineers and infrastructure leads.

Key skills: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and AWS or GCP. CI/CD tooling, monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog, and solid Linux fundamentals. Experience running genuinely high-availability systems counts for more here than certifications.
