iGaming Customer Support Jobs

Customer support is the largest single employer of people in Malta's iGaming industry and the most common way into it. Teams run around the clock across live chat, email and phone, and most operators will train someone with no gambling background at all.

Language is the biggest lever on pay. Native Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Japanese, Korean or German speakers earn several thousand euro above standard rates, and often have their pick of employers. VIP account managers step up from support into relationship roles, managing the small group of players who generate a disproportionate share of revenue, which requires commercial judgement and genuine responsible gaming awareness in equal measure.

Roles are listed in Malta and across Europe, and support is one of the functions where remote and hybrid working has become common, though shift patterns usually still apply.

Salary ranges: EUR 20,000 to 28,000 for support agents, higher with in-demand languages. 28,000 to 38,000 for VIP managers at entry level, and 38,000 to 58,000 for senior VIP and team leads.

Key skills: Fluent English plus at least one other language, patience under pressure, and comfort with shift work including nights and weekends. Zendesk, Intercom or Salesforce experience is commonly asked for.
