Technical Product Owner

We are seeking to recruit a Technical Product Owner to work with the team responsible for the development, maintenance and technical support of all our websites, including several supporting systems. The team is delivery-focused and already experienced in launching several web projects. You will take responsibility for leading several initiatives, working closely with Software Developers, Product Designers, Team Leaders and Stakeholders using the SCRUM framework. You will retain a good technical understanding of systems whilst remaining close to the solutions being developed. People, processes, delivery and the governance around these will be a major focus of your role.

What You Will Do:

• Manage several projects and make well-balanced decisions
• Collaborate with Stakeholders and development teams on constructing a clear list of features and initiatives for existing websites
• Create, maintain and refine the product backlog
• Inspect the progress at the end of every iteration
• Help run SCRUM ceremonies
• Participate in refinement sessions to define how products will be built, assisting in solution architecture, user journeys or commercial know-how to help shape the deliverables
• Unblock developers by providing informed answers to questions related to your products
• Project coordination / Project management related activities as needed
• Understand and communicate the web application architecture, covering front-end, back-end, database, and integrations.
• Document data flows, endpoints and business logic to ensure clear implementation and smooth system interactions.

Your Experience:

• 2 years of experience in Product / Project Management
• Previous experience as a developer
• Good technical mindset, interested in understanding how things work
• Ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion
• Initiative, creative, independent, hands-on style, team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Drive to succeed and ability to lead technical solutions, people, delivery and strategy.
• Good knowledge and experience working with SCRUM and other Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrable experience of effective communication, both written and verbal, in technical and non-technical subjects to both a technical and business audience.
• Experience writing effective user stories
• Must be able to read API documentation
• Sprint & release management
