Role Overview
The Senior Conference Producer will take full ownership of the strategic direction, content development, and execution timelines for NEXT.io events. This role is responsible for shaping high-impact, commercially driven conference agendas and ensuring seamless delivery from concept through to on-site execution and post-event analysis.
You will act as the central point of accountability across content, working cross-functionally to align commercial objectives, audience value, and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Event Ownership & Strategy
- Take full ownership of assigned events, leading on event vision, content strategy, and end-to-end delivery timelines.
- Define and drive the overarching content narrative and direction for each event, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demand.
- Build and manage detailed production timelines, ensuring all milestones are met across content, speakers, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as the primary decision-maker on content direction, format, and speaker selection.
Content Development & Market Insight
- Lead in-depth market research and analysis to identify key industry trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Develop commercially viable, insight-led agendas across conferences, podcasts, and spotlight products.
- Ensure a strong balance between thought leadership and commercial content, aligned to each vertical.
- Proactively identify and launch new content themes, formats, and business opportunities.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Own relationships with key speakers, sponsors, and industry leaders, ensuring high-quality participation and engagement.
- Work closely with sales teams to align content with revenue opportunities while maintaining editorial integrity.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure strong messaging, positioning, and audience acquisition strategies.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure content delivery is executed seamlessly on-site.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior producers and wider content team members where required.
Speaker & Programme Management
- Lead the end-to-end speaker journey, from outreach and confirmation to briefing and on-site management.
- Curate and secure high-calibre speakers that elevate the brand and audience experience.
- Oversee all programme development, ensuring quality, consistency, and engagement across all sessions.
Marketing & Commercial Integration
- Collaborate with marketing to shape campaign messaging, copy, and promotional strategies.
- Contribute to and approve content-led marketing assets, including website copy, email campaigns, and social media.
- Support commercial teams with content-driven sales narratives and sponsor integration opportunities.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Take ownership of post-event analysis, including attendee feedback, speaker performance, and commercial outcomes.
- Identify areas for improvement and innovation across future events.
- Implement processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and content quality across the portfolio.
