Legal & Compliance

At Immense Group, we are guided by our core values of passion, boldness, and integrity. We strive to create an environment where our people thrive, driven by a love of innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional player experiences. If you're passionate about compliance, we'd love for you to join our team as a Legal & Compliance Manager (B2B). This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

A taste of what you'll do

As a Legal & Compliance Manager (B2B), you will serve as a primary legal and compliance contact for business-to-business affairs, supporting a broad range of contractual, regulatory, and gambling-compliance responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions.

Accountabilities

  • Act as the primary legal partner for B2B affairs, leading day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and the drafting of a broad range of commercial agreements and related documentation.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts, using and refining standard templates — including platform and content supply, software licensing, distribution, and reseller arrangements.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to management, presenting legal risks, practical options, and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the broader Group legal and compliance function to support business objectives.
  • Manage the preparation, submission, and ongoing maintenance of gaming licence applications across multiple jurisdictions, taking ownership of assigned portfolios.
  • Verify that prospective and existing B2B clients hold valid gambling licences or authorisations in each market where products or services will be deployed, and monitor counterparty licence status, regulatory standing, and market exits throughout the relationship lifecycle.
  • Maintain the approved-markets framework, advising on market permissibility and regulated-versus-unregulated positioning, and ensuring territory and geo-restriction requirements are reflected in commercial agreements.
  • Support proactive, collaborative relationships with regulatory authorities, as needed.
  • Manage ongoing licence-maintenance obligations across the B2B licence portfolio, including key-event reporting, regulatory notifications, periodic returns, and compliance and system audits.
  • Act as holder of key functions and/or personal management licences, as applicable, across relevant jurisdictions, subject to regulatory approval and applicable vetting requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting B2B supply, assessing the impact of new and emerging supplier-licensing regimes and feeding outcomes into market-entry, certification, and licensing strategies.
  • Create, update, implement, monitor, and enforce policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals.
  • Oversee technical compliance requirements, including managing relationships with accredited test laboratories, owning the certification and homologation roadmap for each jurisdiction, and coordinating security audits and product certification.
  • Manage regulatory change-management processes for game and platform releases, coordinating with product and technical teams on certification, notification, and remediation requirements.
  • Ensure content and brand protection through the registration, maintenance, and renewal of intellectual property rights; assist in any IP disputes that may arise; and develop and implement a domain-name strategy.
  • Own the B2B counterparty onboarding and due-diligence framework, including Know Your Business (KYB) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on prospective clients and suppliers, sanctions and adverse-media screening, and anti-bribery and corruption due diligence on commercial partners and intermediaries.
  • Advise on data-protection matters arising in B2B arrangements, including controller–processor analysis, negotiation of data processing agreements, and international data-transfer requirements, in coordination with the Group's data-protection function.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).

Required skills

  • 3–4 years' post-qualification experience in regulatory, legal, or advisory roles within B2B iGaming.
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-jurisdictional gambling regulation and licensing, including the preparation and management of licence applications and regulatory submissions.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating B2B commercial agreements, such as platform and content supply, software licensing, distribution, and reseller arrangements.
  • Familiarity with B2B/supplier licensing and authorisation regimes (as distinct from operator licensing), and with technical compliance and certification frameworks, including working with accredited test laboratories.
  • Eligibility and willingness to undergo regulatory vetting and to hold key-function or personal management licence appointments, as required; prior experience holding such appointments is advantageous.
  • Experience providing independent regulatory advice to internal business stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of data-protection requirements in a B2B contracting context, including data processing agreements and international transfers.
  • Exposure to intellectual property portfolio management, brand protection, or counterparty due diligence (KYB/CDD, sanctions screening) is advantageous.

Preferred skills

  • Strong legal research, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address regulatory issues independently.
  • Sound commercial drafting and negotiation skills across a broad range of B2B agreement types.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical, and commercially sound advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present regulatory analysis to non-legal audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional language is advantageous.
