We are looking for an HR Business Partner in Malta to join our global HR team. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across our Operations organisation and other relevant functions, providing proactive, hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle.
As a trusted advisor, you will help leaders navigate employee relations matters, performance management, organisational change, talent development, and day-to-day people challenges. You will combine strong business understanding, labour-law expertise, and data-driven insights to support business objectives while ensuring a positive employee experience.
Working closely with the wider HR team, you will help create an engaging, high-performing, and compliant workplace where our people can thrive.
What you'll be responsible for
- Partnering with leaders, providing guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, labour law, organisational change, and other people-related topics.
- Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders, helping them build engaged, high-performing teams and navigate complex people situations with confidence.
- Supporting and managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary matters, performance concerns, absence management, grievances, investigations, and workplace conflicts.
- Providing expert advice on labour law and employment legislation, ensuring compliance and the consistent application of company policies and processes.
- Using HR data, people insights, and key metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support informed decision-making.
- Driving and supporting annual HR processes, including performance reviews, salary reviews, talent discussions, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Partnering with leaders on workforce planning, organisational change, and team effectiveness to set the organisation up for success.
- Collaborating with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Rewards, and other HR stakeholders to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Participating in and contributing to local and global HR projects and initiatives aligned with business priorities.
- Supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects our values and enables employees to perform at their best.
What our successful candidate will have
- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar generalist HR role.
- Strong experience supporting leaders on employee relations, Maltese labour law, performance management, and organisational challenges.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to balance employee needs with business objectives.
- Experience working with HR data and insights to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of local labour law and experience navigating employment legislation in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in an international, growing organisation (considered an advantage).
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
