Were hiring a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to open and scale our operations in Malta for a fast-moving B2B platform in the iGaming space. This is a build-and-lead role: youll set up the operating engine, hire and align the right teams, and ensure day-to-day execution runs smoothly while the business scales internationally.
Youre not coming in to manage what exists β youre coming in to build the Malta hub and make it perform.
What Youll Own
1) Malta Operational Build-Out

Establish the Malta operational footprint (workplace set-up, local vendors, core processes, governance).

Create the operational framework: SOPs, approvals, reporting lines, escalation paths, and decision cadence.

Implement performance rhythm across functions (KPIs/OKRs, weekly ops reviews, quarterly planning).
2) End-to-End Operational Leadership (Hands-On)

Oversee daily operations across key areas such as Customer Success, Integrations/Delivery, Partner Support, Compliance Ops, Finance Ops, HR Ops, and Vendor Management.

Ensure the platform and services are delivered to partners with strong SLAs, incident response, and operational continuity.

Drive operational excellence: reduce friction, improve cycle times, strengthen quality and accountability.
3) Regulatory, Risk & Governance (Malta + EU Mindset)

Own operational readiness for audits, policies, controls, and third-party oversight.

Work closely with internal/external compliance stakeholders to ensure regulated-market requirements are translated into practical operations (including GDPR and security-by-design).

Maintain strong governance with partners, suppliers, and key stakeholders (banks/CSPs/providers where applicable).
4) Scale, People & Culture

Build and lead high-performing teams in Malta (hiring plan, structure, role clarity, capability building).

Establish leadership standards: execution discipline, clear communication, measurable outcomes.

Partner with Product/Tech leadership to ensure operational requirements are understood and delivered.
5) Commercial & Partner Delivery

Translate commercial commitments into operational delivery plans (onboarding, go-live readiness, ongoing support).

Ensure partner experience is consistently strong (time-to-launch, stability, response times, issue resolution).
What Were Looking For
Must-Haves

Proven experience leading operations for a B2B platform (ideally iGaming or closely related regulated tech).

Strong track record of building operations from scratch (new market launch, hub build-out, or scale-up phase).

Hands-on operator who can go from strategy execution without hiding behind decks.

Experience managing cross-functional teams and operational metrics (SLAs, churn, onboarding time, quality, cost-to-serve).

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
Strong Advantages

iGaming ecosystem experience (B2B supplier/platform/provider side).

Malta market experience (operational set-up, local hiring networks, local vendor landscape).
