The Role
As a Player Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Player
Safety function, implementing and maintaining RG & AML processes, and supporting the strategic
direction across all brands and clients within Gaming Innovation Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Player Safety Operations: Manage the daily activities of the Player Safety function, mentor team members, and promote best practices for compliance and player protection.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date internal procedures aligned with RG (Responsible Gambling) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Regularly review and enhance internal tools and workflows to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Risk Management & Investigations: Investigate high-risk player cases and apply risk mitigation strategies using data analysis and behavioural indicators.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Risk & Fraud, Customer Service, Compliance, and Payments teams to ensure RG and AML obligations are met.
- Stakeholder Guidance: Provide strategic guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on RG and AML protocols, including during onboarding.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and manage a high-performance team, supporting recruitment and performance management as needed.
- Third-Party Management: Liaise with third-party providers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of RG and AML tools.
- SARs & Escalation Management: Maintain effective processes for documenting and escalating AML concerns, including preparing SARs where appropriate.
- Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with regulators, clients, and internal teams to promote transparency and alignment.
- Awareness & Training: Promote RG and AML awareness across operations and with partners by assisting in the development of training materials and supporting training delivery where needed.
- Industry Monitoring: Stay informed on RG and AML trends and innovations within the iGaming industry
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Responsible Gambling and/or AML, preferably within the iGaming sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as UKGC, MGA, and other European or global licensing regimes.
- Experience managing or supporting B2B client relationships from a compliance or player protection perspective.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret, write, and present RG & AML policies and reports clearly and persuasively.
- Confident using and configuring RG and AML tools such as Iovation, SEON, or in-house systems.
- A proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to balance player protection and business needs.
- Experience handling sensitive data and escalated cases with discretion and regulatory awareness.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially under pressure.
- A collaborative, team-first approach with experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments
