SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for a Head of Business Development. We need a true, experienced, and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

Purpose of the role:

To drive the company’s expansion in Africa by identifying growth opportunities, securing strategic partnerships, ensuring compliance, and delivering revenue targets, while positioning the brand as a leading player in the regional iGaming market.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Market Expansion

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the Africa region.
• Develop and implement a regional business development strategy aligned with the company’s global objectives.
• Research and analyze market trends, competition, and regulatory landscapes to identify areas for growth.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including operators, aggregators, and other partners in the iGaming sector.
• Lead client acquisition efforts by pitching the company’s products and services to potential partners.
• Ensure client satisfaction through regular engagement, addressing concerns, and optimizing solutions based on their needs.

Partnership Development

• Establish strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s product distribution and market reach.
• Collaborate with technology and product teams to create tailored solutions for regional partners.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and company policies.

Revenue Growth

• Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding regional sales targets and KPIs.
• Monitor and report on revenue performance, identifying areas for improvement and action plans.
• Advice on pricing and commercial strategies suited to the Africa market.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight

• Stay updated on the legal and regulatory requirements for iGaming in various Africa jurisdictions.
• Inform the relevant departments about changes in the legal and regulatory requirements, assist and monitor the process of bringing a product or solution to meet such requirements

Team Leadership and Coordination

• Build, lead and mentor a regional business development team, ensuring alignment with company goals and internal processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and compliance, to support regional initiatives.
• Provide training and resources to enhance the team’s knowledge of the iGaming market in Africa.

Brand Representation

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows in the region.
• Act as the face of the company, promoting its brand and offerings to prospective partners and clients.

Market Insights and Reporting

• Provide regular market feedback and insights to the executive team to inform product development and marketing strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports on business development activities, market trends, and competitive analysis.

Localization Efforts

• Advocate for localized solutions and marketing campaigns to address cultural and market-specific preferences.
• Work closely with marketing team to establish regional marketing strategy

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of sales and business development experience and at least 3 years in the iGaming industry
• Established personal network
• Strong understanding of the iGaming market
• Online gambling operational business understanding
• Proven track record of personal achievements in sales with industry leaders and exceeding sales and revenues targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
