Position Summary

The Treasury Assistant supports the treasury team in managing daily cash operations, processing payments, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate treasury records. The role is hands-on and transactional, ensuring smooth treasury operations, accurate reporting, compliance with internal policies, and supporting KYC and account management processes with banks and other regulatory bodies. 

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and record daily bank transactions.
  • Support the processing of payments, transfers, and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate cash balances across multiple accounts.
  • Assist with the opening and maintenance of bank accounts.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in reconciling merchant accounts, and intercompany accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily cash position reports for review by Treasury Team Lead.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly treasury reports.
  • Assist in monthly billing processes. 
  • Monitor and manage Receivable and Payable balances 
  • Support cash flow forecasting activities with accurate data entry.
  • Ensure treasury activities follow company policies and approval workflows.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of treasury transactions.
  • Support KYC/AML processes with banks and PSPs, including preparation and submission of required documentation.
  • Assist in responding to due diligence and compliance requests from financial institutions.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Liaise with banks, and internal teams to resolve queries.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the wider finance team.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT return in different jurisdictions.
  • Support ad-hoc treasury and finance projects as needed. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a treasury, finance, or payments-related role (iGaming or fintech preferred).
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when working with large transaction volumes.
  • Good understanding of payment flows, banking operations, and currency management.
  • Familiarity with iGaming payment providers, PSPs, and payment gateways (advantageous).
  • Ability to reconcile transactions, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills — able to prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise with internal departments (Payments, Finance, Compliance) and external partners.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Analytical thinking and comfort working with data and reports.
  • Excel / Google Sheets – intermediate to advanced level (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
  • Experience with banking platforms
  • Knowledge of Xero financial system
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
