Legal Counsel

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Legal team as Legal Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of commercial contracts and agreements;
• Advising on a wide range of commercial matters such as intellectual property, technology, and internal/service contracts;
• Advising and supporting other departments as may be necessary;
• Overseeing contractual obligations and advising the business on contractual requirements;
• Identifying legal issues, providing analysis of legal risks and assisting in the creation and implementation of solutions;
• Conducting legal Research and staying abreast with regulatory updates;
• Maintaining records of group policies and procedures and uphold them internally as well as towards relevant regulatory authorities;
• Maintain contract management system;
• Providing administrative support to the legal team as required;
• Take an active role in the client onboarding process, with a focus on risk assessment, client screening, and customer due diligence.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of existing clients from an AML/CFT perspective as needed.
• Maintain legal registers (such as POA register, register of restrictive covenants etc.)
• Other responsibilities may be required and determined by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Previous local experience as a lawyer, particularly within corporate and commercial
• Experience in iGaming
• Strong knowledge and understanding of online gaming legislation and industry best practices
• Experience with AML/CFT regulations
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
• Education and Experience
• A bachelor degree in law
