WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We are looking for a Head of Group Finance with a strong combination of commercial finance and financial control experience to join this highly dynamic and incredibly exciting company within the gaming sector. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for management reporting, leading the planning processes, and team management. You must have a proven record of delivering high-quality full-spectrum finance support. We are a young company, with exciting growth plans and are looking for a driven professional to come and join our team.


Responsibilities:

High profile financial role encompassing – accounting, reporting, FP&A.


• Develop and enhance forecast and budget processes
o Establish quarterly forecasting process and cascade to senior leaders throughout the organization
o Develop an annual budget process. Focus on P&L and work with Senior Accountant on budget for Balance Sheet and Cashflow
o Develop a long-term plan, and support the CFO to align this with the strategic aims of the organization
o Manage end-end Budget and Forecast communication process, including allocating budgets to departments once signed off by executives

• Enhancement of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
o Incorporating P&L, Cash and Balance Sheet and KPI reporting
o Variance reporting, highlighting performance versus expectations, PY, and corrective action
o Work with BI lead and business heads to provide actionable insights
o Manage end to end audit process

• Developing and enhancing group finance processes including:
o Automation of manual processes
o System enhancements


• Support the CFO with risk management and analysis. Ensuring that risks are known and mitigated
o Work with the senior accountant and conduct annual group risk analysis


• Support the CFO with modelling for prospective corporate finance activity
o Managing data rooms
o Company valuation
o Supporting corporate transactions


• Provide banking and treasury support, with existing banks, PSPs, and expansion across new jurisdictions
• Creating a business partner culture. Encourage and develop all finance team members to support the business and partner with internal stakeholders, and help them drive maximum ROI
• Manage and lead the finance team
• Support the CFO and C-level with ad hoc projects as required

Requirements, Characteristics

• Qualified Accountant with a minimum of eight years of relevant prior work experience in a gaming company, several years of which must have been in a leadership role,
• An experienced business partner, someone who enjoys helping the business deliver on plans and thrives in a dynamic and fast-changing environment,
• Proven record of supporting business with new channels, developing banking, PSP relationships and adherence to financial reporting requirements,
• Good working knowledge of accounting procedures and IFRS,
• Direct experience with accounting software packages, like Xero,
• Advanced MS Excel skills,
• Accuracy and attention to detail,
• Awareness of business trends,
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written,
• The position will require you to be independent and initiative-taking, capable of analysing the company's needs and prioritizing your tasks efficiently,
• You must be organized, driven, committed, and loyal, enjoying the responsibilities of taking a lead role in a young company,
• Able to present technical information in a succinct way to suit stakeholder needs
