Position Summary: 

The Junior PSP Analyst will be reporting to the PSP Optimisation Manager and will assist with PSP operations, optimisation, and configurations. This role will be responsible for monitoring performance metrics, helping resolve technical issues, and supporting payment-related inquiries from various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • PSP Performance Monitoring: Assist with monitoring PSP performance and help identify opportunities to increase transaction approval ratios through data analysis.
  • Configuration Support: Monitor existing and new configurations daily to ensure processing activities meet established standards. Report on issues with PSP/Gateway integrations and flows.
  • Cashier Support: Assist with cashier management, including making necessary FE changes in CMS to support the launch of new payment methods.
  • Technical Issue Identification: Identify and document technical bugs, operational tasks, and feature requests to platform providers and PSPs. Monitor transaction error codes and report on trends.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform testing and quality assurance cases for new payment integrations and features under supervision.
  • Internal Support: Assist with queries from other departments such as CS, Payments, Compliance, and AM. Investigate basic queries in a timely manner and escalate complex issues to the PSP Optimisation Manager.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and organize data to help identify areas of improvement for payment performance. Support initiatives to increase approval ratios.
  • Brand Support: Assist with new brand launches and brand migrations.
  • Reconciliation Assistance: Support the Reconciliation team with basic settlement matters and help with automated reconciliation projects.
  • Learning and Development: Stay current with industry trends and practices. Participate in training to develop technical knowledge of payment systems and processes.

Requirements: 

  • Experience in Payment Integrations or similar roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Devcode (PaymentIQ), Payment Gateway configurations and integrations.
  • Understanding of API integrations, payment processing flows, and back-office system functionalities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills: personable, approachable, and professional.
  • Ability to multitask and work cross-functionally with various teams and independence on duties.

This role is available based in Malta or fully remote on a CET schedule from Monday - Friday between 09:00 - 18:00 CET (with 1-hour lunch break)
