As a Technical Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Sportingtech’s platform and operations align with global regulatory requirements and industry standards. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance is embedded in our technical solutions while staying ahead of evolving regulations in the online gaming and betting industry.

With experience in compliance frameworks, technical certification processes and regulatory risk management, you can navigate complex regulatory landscapes while supporting business objectives. You are highly detail-oriented, proactive and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Whether it’s overseeing audits, driving compliance initiatives or liaising with regulators.
The impact you will have:
- Ensure our platform meets regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions (Europe, Africa, LATAM), maintaining compliance with licensing conditions, data protection laws, and industry standards.
- Monitor evolving gaming regulations and technical standards to keep the company compliant in all operating regions.
- Lead internal audits and assessments, identifying compliance gaps and recommending improvement plans.
- Collaborate with development, security, and product teams to ensure technical solutions align with compliance requirements.
- Identify and mitigate technical compliance risks, advising senior leadership on best practices.
- Maintain and update compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Oversee testing and certification processes, ensuring regulatory approval for platform updates and new features.
- Train internal teams on the latest compliance requirements and their impact on system design, functionality, and operations.
- Support incident management by ensuring compliance-related technical issues are identified, documented, and mitigated.
- Ensure that proposed platform changes undergo compliance reviews and do not introduce new regulatory risks.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Certifications in compliance, risk management, or IT security are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years in a technical compliance role, preferably in the gaming industry. Experience managing certification processes (e.g., GLI, BMM Testlabs) is essential.
- Strong understanding of online gaming platforms, technical systems, and infrastructure. Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, PCI DSS, GDPR) and risk management/auditing processes.
- In-depth knowledge of global gaming regulations, licensing, and technical standards (e.g., MGA, GLI, and other regulatory bodies).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to assess complex technical issues, identify compliance risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- A proactive approach to compliance with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously.
