We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Senior Specialist to join our software development team in our Tirana office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining a range of software products, working closely with our Betting Platform Team to enhance and sustain the Sisal betting platform. This role requires strong backend development expertise and collaboration with our team based in Italy.
What you’ll do:
- You will develop new features and functionalities for our applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- You will maintain and optimize existing applications by troubleshooting, refactoring, and enhancing their efficiency and reliability.
- You will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
- You will develop and maintain high-quality code by implementing unit and integration tests.
- You will conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high standards.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including peer organizations, DevOps, and support teams, to deliver technical documentation and improve processes.
Who you are :
- You are proficient in enterprise frameworks, with a preference for Java EE (JPA, EJB, JMS, CDI, etc.). Experience with the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Core, Data) is considered an advantage.
- You have hands-on experience with application servers, with a preference for WebLogic.
- You have min 3 years experience in related technology.
- You have a solid understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices, with experience using Jenkins or similar tools.
- You are familiar with Message-Oriented Middleware, with Kafka being highly preferred.
- You have experience with version control systems like Git and build tools like Maven.
- You possess the ability to make informed engineering trade-offs related to extensibility, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with team members.
- You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), and a good understanding of Italian is an asset.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferably, you also have:
- You have a strong understanding of database principles, including database scripting languages (e.g., PLSQL).
- You have experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman and orchestration tools (Kubernetes preferred).
- You have knowledge of Linux environments and basic networking concepts, which is a plus.
