We are currently looking for an experienced and highly skilled Principal Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Principal Front-End Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the development of our front-end architecture and driving the technical direction of our web applications. You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding a team of front-end developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant, and scalable user interfaces. This role demands a deep understanding of front-end technologies, a passion for cutting-edge web development, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and direction for the front-end development team. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in front-end development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect front-end solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, best practices enforcement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain coding standards and documentation.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level front-end developers, fostering their growth and skill development.
- Optimize front-end code and performance to deliver fast and responsive user experiences. Identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with UX designers to implement designs that deliver a seamless and visually appealing user experience.
- Work closely with back-end engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure the alignment of front-end development with overall project goals and timelines.
- Implement and promote testing practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure robust and bug-free applications.
- Research and experiment with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to continuously improve the front-end development process and product quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in front-end development.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of front-end developers.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks React.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
- Experience with Git and code collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools, package managers, and automation workflows
- Knowledge of responsive web design principles.
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
- Experience with RESTful API integration and asynchronous programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
