The Role
The Junior IT Support will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring their hardware and software systems function effectively and efficiently. This role is crucial in helping individuals and the organization troubleshoot and resolve various technology-related issues to maintain a smooth operation.
In this role you will be required to work on-call.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to clients both onsite and remotely, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently to ensure minimal disruption.
- Manage and maintain accurate IT inventory records and documentation.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests while adhering to established service level agreements.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of computer systems, IT hardware, and peripherals.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Support corporate applications and assist users in utilizing them effectively.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle and resolve day-to-day IT requests promptly.
Skill Requirements
- A diploma or higher certification in IT or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience working with Microsoft 365 products.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Additional educational qualifications or certifications in Networks, Infrastructure, or related areas will be considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to, and administer various software packages.
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to staying updated with ICT technologies.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for supporting internal staff effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
