About the job:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, VAT returns, and other taxation documents, as well as support process improvements. You’ll mentor accounts payable staff, help manage banking operations, and collaborate with the Finance Operations Manager to implement policies that enhance efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, good communication skills, and an interest in cryptocurrencies and Maltese taxation law. Prior experience in iGaming or affiliate industries would be advantageous..

What you will be doing:

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly management financial statements and VAT returns.


• Collaborate on the preparation of quarterly budgets and regular forecasts.


• Identify and propose improvements to finance processes and assist in drafting policies.


• Mentor and support the accounts payable team.


• Assist with bank reconciliations and managing banking requirements, including KYC.

What Would Make You a Great Fit:

• Minimum 5 years of experience across various finance functions.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Xero is a plus but not mandatory.


• University degree in Accounting or progress toward ACCA with relevant modules (TX MT, FR, LW MT, FM).


• Strong attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels.


• Ideally, you have an interest in cryptocurrencies, Maltese Commercial and Taxation law, and experience in iGaming/affiliate industries.
