Backend Developer (m/f/d) as Software Architect

Betterlore (https://betterlore.com) is an iGaming brand that brings new online games to the market. In recent years, we have developed the first of these games together with the supporting infrastructure. The company has German roots with locations in Malta and Serbia. The games are located both in Germany and in the cloud. For the further development of our brand Betterlore we are looking for a Backend Developer (m/f/d) as Software Architect to expand or development team.

• As our Backend Developer (m/f/d) as Software Architect, you will take over ownership of the structure of our software platform, its services and their connections and plan creations of new services with DevOps engineers and administrators.


• You will work closely together with the product owner and development team in turning high-level user-stories into low-level specifications and instructions in accordance with our agile cycle.


• Further, you play a key role in deciding technologies, such as tools, frameworks, libraries, etc. for the development team.


• You will conceptualise interfaces to internal and external systems as well as the definition of architecture life-cycles.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field


• Proven experience as a System Architect or similar role


• Strong understanding of software development and system architecture principles


• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, PHP; Python or similar


• Proficiency in database architecture and design on MySQL


• Experience with Azure cloud computing platform appreciated


• Very good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, business fluent German is appreciated
